In Unknown Legend, Terry Urban crafts a hauntingly poetic series of paintings centered around faceless riders cloaked in mystery. Each character—typically depicted on horseback—emerges from dreamlike landscapes, their identities obscured by shadows that veil their faces. This intentional concealment invites the viewer into an open-ended narrative, urging personal interpretation over imposed meaning. By withholding facial expressions, Urban hands over the reins of the story to us, allowing each observer to project their own thoughts, feelings, and legends onto these enigmatic figures.
