Echoes of Reality

SPACE presents new works by Sofía Ruiz, José Luis Ceña,
Shinhye You and Jaroslav Drazil

Opening: Friday, 30 October 2026 · 17:00–19:00

This autumn, SPACE presents Echoes of Reality, an international group exhibition bringing together four distinctive contemporary practices by

Sofía Ruiz, José Luis Ceña, Shinhye You, Jaroslav Drazil and Nancy Guerrero

Created specifically for the exhibition, the new works move between the real and the imagined, the remembered and the reconstructed. Across painting and ceramics, the four artists approach questions of memory, identity, transformation and belonging from markedly different perspectives.

At the centre of the exhibition are two artists who have already developed a strong relationship with SPACE and its audience: Costa Rican painter Sofía Ruiz and Spanish painter José Luis Ceña. They are joined by Nancy Guerrero and two artists exhibiting at SPACE for the first time: South Korean, ceramic artist
Shinhye You and German-based painter Jaroslav Drazil.

As a special surprise, Sofia, Jose and Jaroslav, will join us for the opening and tell about their thoughts and stories behind the work, so get ready for a spectacular opening.

Exhibition period: 30 October – 28th of November 2026
