”What is Lost”
A boy stands alone in the dark, a flashlight in hand, with the night stretching wide around him. The field is quiet, distant yet strangely familiar. Above, the sky opens in deep shades of blue – a moving cosmos, an inner space without borders.
The light from his lamp is faint. It illuminates only a small patch of ground before him, but it's enough. Enough to search, enough to hope. What he’s looking for remains unclear – perhaps something he’s lost, perhaps something he’s never known. Perhaps himself.
This painting is a quiet meditation on loss and longing. On that moment when darkness no longer feels threatening – but meaningful. A memory, a truth, a childhood. Something buried softly in the grass, waiting to be rediscovered.
The weight of the sky and the fragility of the light form a delicate balance – where the human and the infinite meet. A breath between what we lose, and what we become while searching.
