The Green Hour

The painting revolves around the child’s secret world – an inner universe accessible only to herself. The green hour becomes a symbol of transition, between reality and imagination, between the innocence of childhood and a dawning awareness of something greater. The atmosphere is both melancholic and magical: the child appears withdrawn, yet carries an intensity mirrored by the surrounding landscape. The work opens a space where the viewer is reminded of childhood’s hidden, private landscapes – those places that cannot be shared, yet continue to call out to us.
