The Golden Tide
In "The Golden Tide," the world is reduced to its purest form. The overwhelming yellow light dissolves the usual boundaries between sky and sea, leaving only a state of serene silence. There is no horizon to navigate by—only an infinite glow that feels both alluring and boundless.
The child in the foreground marks the transition between the familiar and the unknown. The figure moves along the dark edge of vegetation—a final foothold of solid ground—in a landscape that feels more like an internal state of mind than a physical place. It is a journey through solitude, where the individual stands face to face with something far greater than themselves.
The work questions how we find our footing when the reality around us becomes fluid and insurmountable. It is a tribute to a child's ability to simply be in the midst of the vastness, and a reminder of the search for direction that we all carry through life.
