This work "Exploration" is part of my series of paintings, which deals with what shapes us as people in relation to the important caregivers who have the greatest impact through their presence and absence. We spend the rest of our lives after our teenage years reconnecting with the person we were before we were influenced by our surroundings with shame and praise.

Exploration is a painting that captures the spirit of the unbendable desire to evolve, move from the known to the unknown, this boy will never bend to his surrundings. In the foreground, a young boy emerges from a place of shadow, his frame bathed in sunlight ahead. His posture is filled with a sense of purpose and curiosity, as he steps out of the shadows into the golden meadow.

The overall composition of the painting radiates with the sense of purpose and the thrill of exploration, emphasizing the moment of stepping out of the familiar and into the vast, unknown world beyond.
