by artist Emma Holm.
Inspired by the sculpture "Psyche, who inserts the point into Cupid's arrow", the Anthropologist has gone on fieldwork to explore a paradox in human nature.
With her pose, the Anthropologist depicts Psyche's blindness to the essence of love, while the shadow that taking aim is a late-modern commentary on the conflicts that emerge from all corners of the world...
The textures in her robe refer to bombed landscapes and people. Healthy thoughts of freedom, equality, and loyal alliances shattered to atoms being reassembled, indicated by the green color running down from the top of the drawing.
Size of the total work, including the frame: 80 x 135 cm
Smoaked oak frame with museum glass
