Tez Kim (1977) is a multi media artist from South Korea
Hisworks often embody various vignettes of his own childhood, embracing his innocence and obliviousness. Through memories of his, we jog our own; and with our own nostalgia, we see the spectrum of life and its challenges in a different but familiar light.
Pure excitement we once had for seemingly mundane things, such as a bag of McDonald’s takeout. Unwarranted rebelliousness against the world. Reckless courageousness and unhesitant vivacity.
All with the utmost gentleness and fragility. His scope of perspectives and sentiments paint a picture of his childhood that represents ours and perhaps provokes us to challenge our attitudes on life.
