Collection: Jaroslav Drazil

Coming from a background in theatre, Jaroslav Drazil (1984) has developed a distinctive painterly practice shaped by staging, physicality and psychological intensity.

For 19 years he worked as a make-up artist, most recently as Deputy Head of Make-up at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, and at the Zurich Opera House.

For the past five years he has been working as a full-time independent artist, living exclusively from his art. His paintings move between figuration and symbolic transformation, addressing questions of identity, memory and collective imagery.
