The painting "Winding Road" tries to create a visual narrative of the challenges humans can have if the house we grew up in is built crookedly. We can feel trapped by these constructions for the rest of our lives and the path into the future can thus be difficult to navigate.
The scene in the painting shows a young girl standing in the doorway of a poorly built house overgrown with weeds. In front of her, an ice-covered dirt road runs into the distant desolate landscape under a dramatic pink sky.
