Observing Wildlife of the Urban Jungle:
Since Marc Augé first introduced the concept of non-places it has taken on whole new measures.
Traditionally it referred to places in transit and the space between A – B. But as the Anthropologist observed the wildlife of the Urban Jungle she soon realized that these digital devices were more than just spare limbs – they were portals to a coexisting non-place.
Much like on busses the individuals would be seen physically presented but mentally jumping social platforms and addresses in a cyber city. Not uncommonly she would see their legs walking with no guidance of their eyes.
She had even observed how this remote state was socially accepted as a form of togetherness.… Scribbling down antisocial socializing, reclaim network as note to wonder is this peculiar species even remotely aware of the earth they spin on, or wouldn’t they be unless it came as notifications though their digital devices?
