She lay in the dark, still, silent, a distant pulse humming like an empty space.
A glance at the ceiling, but no sight, for inside the world was lightning.

A teddy bear lay by her side, worn by time, but soft in strife. She found it, but no answers, only memories that were all too clear.

It was not the fur, not the fabric – but all that she once held. A silence deeper than peace, where the past whispers, the future fades.

So she lay, without words, between what was and what is growing.
