Over two decades ago, D*Face first unleashed Dog Save The Queen-a punk-charged twist on royal iconography that quickly became a defining image of the early 2000s street art movement. Born from skate culture, subversion, and a little irreverent humour, the work has since become one of his most recognisable emblems.
The print is hand-pulled using traditional screen printing methods, echoing the raw, DIY origins of the original artwork. Both a tribute and a reinvention, the piece reflects how far the scene has come while keeping its rebellious spirit intact.
Dean Stockton, better known under his pseudonym D*Face, creates incisive, irreverent paintings, prints, sculptures, and murals that satirize popular culture.
The actual colour of the yellow sprayed wings may slightly vary the picture, due to difference in light and screen settings.
