Collection: Torben Mersholm

Torben Mersholm, born in 1969 in Christianshavn, Copenhagen, is a Danish artist with a distinctive personality and a deep passion for creating.

He has gained considerable recognition for his imaginative and expressive ceramic sculptures, which have found their way into numerous private collections.

At first glance, Mersholm’s works are characterised by humour, playfulness and a wonderfully unconventional visual language. Yet beneath the eccentric and often caricature-like figures lies a more contemplative dimension. His sculptures invite us to look beyond their immediate humour and discover something more personal, vulnerable and thought-provoking.

Mersholm brings a strong sense of himself into every sculpture he creates. Each work carries its own personality and expression, offering the viewer a glimpse into the artist’s distinctive inner world – a place where humour, imagination and reflection exist side by side.
